This exhaust is amazing the sound is great it has a throathy sound when you press the gas and best of all when crusing you can relax because there is almoust no interior buffeting sound. I would recomend this to anyone if you whant to add a little flavor to your truck.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy the 50 series. I originally had purchased a flowmaster 40 for my 08 GMC Sierra and although I loved the sound, when cruising at highway speeds the drone inside the cab got old really fast. I purchased this one here on amazon and had my muffler shop switch them out. I still have the rumbling growl at startup and when I mash on the gas the flowmaster beast announces itself! Best of all at cruising speeds its waaaaay quieter.

Flowmaster is the last sound your engine will make. The units produce the perfect tone - yet at cruising speed are not adding unwanted noise. I have all my friends installing these (we all have p71 crown vics).

It's well built, was the right size, and fit my 1967 Cadillac perfectly. This does not come with the muffler clamps, so you should either order them separately or pick them up at your local parts store.

I have a 2005 Impala that I used this for. Works fine, sounds great. I also used the Magnaflow cat elim , and Bend delete.

the sound of this muffler is great. i had it on a 97 chevy truck. sound was good at idle and all through the rpm range. has a drone at like 1500rpm when the engine is under load but that didnt bother me. i was surprised how quick it got rusty though. i recommend if you want a good value muffler you cant beat a glasspack. i have flowtech red hots on my car and my truck now. cant beat the price, sound or how long they last.

I've got this on my Porsche 924 N/A and it sounds absolutely amazing. I love this muffler. At 80 MPH it can be a little mind numbing, but still not enough to cost it a star. Buy this muffler now!

I put this muffleron my 07chevy ext. cap pickup. and it sounds like a truck now if your lookin for amuffler to set your truck apart from the other's get the Super 40 flowmaster I did! not a penny wasted!

We purchased this Super40 series Flowmaster for our 2006 Tahoe and it produces a nice growl that is a little different from the original 40 I have on our 2001 Tahoe in that the interior resonance is cut in half.I enjoy the in your face growl of the original 40 on mine and it made sense to go with the super 40on hers having kids in the truck all the time,but come summer its windows down listening to it roar.Never the less another awsome product from Flowmaster,never have and never will be disappointed with their product.Flowmaster has always been king of keeping V8 muscle sounding/feeling american.

I bought this muffler for my V6 mustang. It says that it will not fit V6's but that is false. Just as long as it is clamped extra tight, or welded on, it will fit. My mustang is single exhaust, but with this one muffler it sounds like a dual exhaust. If you want a great muffler with a nice deep roar, this is the muffler for you.

It has taken me awhile to getting around to installing this myself on my 97 ford expedition 5.4L and after the install and the first start up you could instantly hear the difference! Sounds like the truck was meant to sound like this, and it feels like the truck got a fresh start. From 0 to 2000 rpm it sonds just like a super 44 should sound but at highway speeds it is barely noticeable.
If anyone is getting this for the same truck I recommend you rent a sawzall to help any DIY'er if your clamping it on and loctite for the clamp bolts. Honestly it took a good amount of cutting the exhaust tubing even after dropping the OE muffler but do it in 2inch steps. I ended up right before the Y intersection of exhaust coming from motor and had to do with out a heat shield. To make final cut to level muffler you will have to remove another heat shield just to make a good cut and replace it before final install.
I used a 2.5 inch single flared pipe from exhaust to inlet on muffler then just dumped exhaust from outlet on muffler using a 45 degree 2.5 inch single flared pipe. This results in a very strong sounding muffler. I did away with the original remaining exhaust pipe leading over rear axle and angled out to side since it couldn't be used.
I know this sounds kind of hacked but it turned out great. If you are into the whole FLOWMASTER sound and have been wondering how agressive the super 44 is you will not be dissapointed!

After a lot of research, I was originally going to go with the 50 series, but I ended up second guessing it and choosing the 40 at the muffler shop. I knew that was the wrong decision for my 4.3L V6 Chevy S-10 on the way home. The sound from the outside at idle and with a blip of the throttle is deep and mellow. I wouldn't call it overly loud at idle, and I actually did get some complements on the sound. Where I never quite got on board with it was the resonance inside the cab. It is hard to describe, but while cruising, the constant "bwwahhhhh" sound was just the right pitch to get on my nerves in that small space. I was late to a friend's house once, so I was rushing to get there. When I arrived, he told me that he heard me come around the bend a mile up the road! This was reinforced by the fact that several people have told me through the years that they could always hear me coming and I experienced it myself when people returned the truck after borrowing it. If I had it to do over again, I'm would definitely have gone with something quieter for sure. Something that didn't make it so that you have to yell to be heard by your passenger and had a better sound at cruising speeds or while under load. On the other hand, if you've got a teenager, and you want to know when they come and go, get these! Part of my issues could have been due to the small truck that it was on, and the fact that the muffler had to be located directly behind the passenger seat. Just to be thorough, I had a single pipe into the 40, and two coming out. The pipes exited straight out the back, on either side of the license plate (halfway between the edge of the plate and the corner of the bumper).

We had a leak in our old muffler and it hissed all the time. It is a Hi Performance vehicle anyway so we went ahead and
ordered the Flowmaster Series 40 it has standard openings 2.5 in and 2.5 out. It came in two days. Three days later I had it installed for $25.00 at a small auto shop.
It took all of 20 minuets to complete. It has a very nice idle. Sounds like a sleeping GIANT but when traveling around town or on the highway
it's not LOUD. Just a mellow purr. I love it and gas mileage should be a bonus from this low restriction muffler.
Recommended. All Flowmaster products give long life and great performance.

Fast shipping great item. Put on the next day I could not wait to put them on. I would put them on a 305 and its sounds mean rummmm rummm
